ITINERARY
FIRST DAY:

AIRPORT COLLECTION, TRANSFER TO HOTEL

FIRST DAY AFTERNOON: CITY TOUR: 1:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Qoricancha: Located a few meters from the Plaza de Armas, considered the most sacred place by the Incas and all the vast territory of Tawantinsuyo, in which they paid homage to the community of gods and considered children of gods. Nowadays it looks in Santo Domingo Catholic temple on the eternal walls worked in the Inca period.

Sacsayhuaman: Located 2 km north of the city of Cusco, it was a religious center of great importance. Its construction is very peculiar, it is built on huge blocks of limestone joined with absolute precision, it is undoubtedly one of the greatest architectural works of Tahuantinsuyo. In Sacsayhuamán, the Inti Raymi ceremony is recreated every 24th of June, an ancestral celebration in honor of the Sun God.

Pucapucara: Quechua word that translated into Spanish means “red fort”, is located 6 km from the city of Cusco, fulfilled the function of military control, was also a place of rest for all travelers who passed through the place. This building is composed of walls, stairways, terraces and canals, its construction is rustic.

Tambomachay: It is located about 8 km north of Cusco, Quechua word that translated into Spanish means “resting cave”, because of the architecture and the water sources that it shines, without a doubt it must have been a place destined to the cult of water, since water was considered as a deity symbolizing purity and fertility.

After our tour, we return to the city at approximately 7:30 p.m.

SECOND DAY:  AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

05:00 AM. Breakfast at the Hotel After we will start the Ascent by bus approximately 25 minutes to the wonderful Inca MACHUPICCHU citadel, universally known both for its imposing and original remains of the Inca culture and for its incomparable location on the edge of the abyss, in whose bottom the waters flow torrentosas of the Urubamba. We will have the opportunity to appreciate the sunrise and sunrise in Machupicchu then we will visit its main stepped constructions, stairways, temples, towers, the Solar Clock or Intiwatana, platforms, etc. The guided tour of the entire citadel lasts approximately 2:30 hours.

Free time to explore the ruins, as well as ascend to Huayna Picchu. 1:30 hrs approx. Then we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes where they will have the option of visiting the thermal baths of the area. In the afternoon, return to Cusco.

THIRD DAY:

We will pick you up from your hotels at the agreed time one day before, between 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., to board the mini van and drive to the town of Mollepata in the lush valley of the Apurímac River, where we will taste our breakfast and we will buy what is needed to make the tour before starting the hike to Laguna Humantay located at 4200 meters above sea level After breakfast, we continue to Challacancha enjoying during the tour of all the majesty of the Humantay mountain in the Vilcabamba mountain range and continue the route to Soraypampa 2900 masl, where we will have a short break, charging us with energy to continue our journey to the starting point of the Soraypampa walk, starting our walk with breathtaking views of the Humantay Lagoon and amazing viewpoints appreciating all the beauty of the landscape.

From Soraypampa to Laguna Humantay are 7 km, which can be done between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours of walking approximately. We can appreciate on the one hand the Humantay at 4200 meters above sea level and on the other side the imposing Nevado de Salkantay, then we will return to our camp for our lunch and free time to take pictures, rest and finally we will be returning from Soraypampa to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m.
