Our trip to Cusco begins with a tour of the main attractions of the city of Cusco where we will visit the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas, Pisaq is located in the east of the Cordillera de Vilcabamba, Urubamba where we will taste a lunch buffet (Typical Dishes of Cusco), Ollantaytambo, is currently an important tourist attraction due to its Inca building and for being one of the most common starting points of the Inca road to Machu Picchu. The next day we will visit the Terraces de Maras Moray, Inca Agriculture Center, and La Minas de Sal. Continuing with our tour, we will travel to Machupicchu through one of the alternative routes, by bus for 2 days and 1 night, staying overnight at the Ciudadela de Aguas Calientes to appreciate the sunrise of Machu Picchu, the next day. At the end we will have our last excursión Vinicunca, better known as the Mountain of Colors. Itinerary

FIRST DAY:

Reception and transfer from Cusco airport to the hotel (in the morning). Free day to acclimatize, and walk through the main streets of the City of Cusco.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.

8:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and / or office we start our departure from Cusco to the Sacred Valley and begin our visit to the market of Pisac (where we will see typical fabrics of the town of Pisac), then visit the archaeological center of Pisac: a strategic viewpoint over the town of Pisac Taray, the snowy La Verónica and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, continuing with our tour we will arrive to Urubamba, place where we will taste a buffet lunch, and then continue to Ollantaytambo where we will have a guided tour of approximately 30 minutes, and free time to take Photos. Finally, we went to Chincheros, where we will appreciate the weavings that they have made since the Time of the Incas

DAY 3: MARAS MORAY AND SALINERAS: 8:30 PM – 2:30 PM

After tasting a breakfast we will pass by your hotel at 08:30 hours. In our mobility, to go to the town of Maras through the route with very colorful landscapes and typical populations, we will first visit Moray, considered an Inca agricultural research center where crop experiments were carried out at different heights, the disposition of its platforms produce a gradient of microclimates having the center of the concentric circular platforms a higher temperature and gradually reducing to the outside at lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different types of microclimates. It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only from the Urubamba Valley but also from different parts of Tahuantinsuyo. Continuing with our trip we will visit the famous salineras of Maras known by some as “salt mines” are constituted by some 3000 small wells, built on one side of the slope of the mountain of “Qaqawiñay”, which during the dry season are filled or “water” every 3 days with salt water that emanates from a natural spring located in the upper part of the wells so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it gradually solidifies. The pools are owned by the villager.

DAY 4: CUSCO – AGUAS CALIENTES 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

Departure approximately between 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. From the hotel or the cathedral door, we will go on our tourist transport for 6 hours to the hydroelectric power station. On the way, we will make a stop in the town of Ollantaytambo, approx. For 20 minutes, continuing with the trip we arrive at the Abra Málaga at 4200 masl where we will stop to appreciate the landscapes, then descend from the Puna to the Selva de Selva impressive landscape we will reach Santa María and later to Santa Teresa where we will have lunch and continue until hydroelectric where we will start the bed between 2:30 hours to Aguas Calientes where Katherine, will be waiting for us in the Main Square, then we will have dinner and brief talk with the guide about the tour the next day, accommodation in a hostel with private bathroom and water hot and wi-fi.

DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

According to the guide’s information and after breakfast, it will be at 4:00 a.m. very early, we started walking for approximately 2:30 hours, arriving at 6:00 am where we will have a guided tour of 2 hours in the main sectors of the citadel of Machu Picchu then have free time until 11:30 am. Then return walking to Hidroeléctrica between 2:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. where our bus awaits us and will bring us back to Cusco arriving at the city between 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

DAY 6 : VINICUNCA OR ARCOIRIS MOUNTAIN FROM 3:00 – 7:00 PM.

The mountain of 7 colors will be one of the most desired hiking trails in the world; The mountain AUSANGATE (VINICUNCA) is located only 100 km from the city of Cusco and is the 4th highest mountain in Peru, it is nothing less than 6,372 meters high; Its exposed minerals (iron oxides, copper sulfates and others) are shown to form an almost surrealistic image.

Firstly, the pick-up from your hotel will be approximately 3:10 am to undertake a trip of 3:00 hours following the southern route through the valleys of Cusco, in full route we can see the sunrise in horizons of valleys and punas; We continue to our local house Quesiuno, where an energetic Andean breakfast awaits us, specially prepared before embarking on the trek to Vinincunca Mountain. After breakfast we get ready with all the implements of walking and a good load of water that allows us to undertake our ascent to the mountain Vinincunca. It will be for a period of 3 hours (7.5 km). If you wish we can provide horses or mules because we always carry one in case there is a need to be used by you to accelerate your walk. Our departure from this point allows us to see a view of the largest mountain in the Ausangate area covered in snow almost all of its totality see the camelids and sheep feed on their fields and their village of Uchuraccay with their workers in the open field.
