Join us in this adventure to the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu, in an excursion that begins in the city of Cusco crossing villages such as: Ollantaytambo, Santa Maria, Santa Teresa and Hydroelectric by car, and then start a 2 hour hike on a flat road surrounded by vegetation and tropical fruits to the town of Aguas Calientes, to enjoy a guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu the next morning.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes
Pick up from the hotel approx. At 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. then we go on our touristic transport for 6 hours until we reach the hydroelectric power station. On the way we will make a stop in the town of Ollantaytambo approx. For 15 minutes, continuing with the trip we arrive at the Abra Málaga 4200 masl where we will make a stop to appreciate the landscape then descend from the Puna to the Selva de Selva impressive landscape we will arrive to Santa María and later to Santa Teresa where we will have lunch and continue until hydroelectric from where we will start a walk of 2:30 min. Hours distance of 10 km (there is the possibility of taking the train for 45 minutes) we arrive to Aguas Calientes where we will have dinner and brief talk with the guide about the tour the next day, accommodation in a basic hotel with private bathroom and hot water and Wifi.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
According to the information of the guide and after breakfast very early we start the trek to Machu Picchu arriving at 6am where we will have a guided tour of 2 hours in the main sectors of the citadel of Machu Picchu then have free time until 12 and then go down to AGUAS CALIENTES and return to Hidroeléctrica where our bus awaits us and will bring us back to Cusco arriving at the city between 9:00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m
