OVERVIEW TOUR

Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco to Km. 82 Huayllabamba

Early in the morning, we’ll take our passengers at their hotels and travel by bus to the Km. 82 in the Urubamba Valley, there, we’ll meet with all the personal that will accompanied us in the tour(porters and cook), the Km 82 is the start of the Inca Trail to Machupicchu, there, we’ll pass the control Entrance fees, also porters and cook will be controlled with all their licenses and permit, this is the lowest part in our tour, this day we’ll be walking until Huayllabamba, close an ancient Inca citadel.

Day 2: Huayllabamba – Pacamayo

After breakfast, we’ll will star to climb the first pass, Warmihuañusca dead woman pass) (4,215 m. a.s.l.), where there is a spectacular view of the valley below. At this pass we move from the dry puna ecology to elf forest, the highest of the tropical forest types where gnarled trees grow to two meters amid frog and low clouds, this is the habitat of orchids, Polilepis Incana (National Peruvian tree) and mammals like the Puma and Andean Beer (no worries, they’re far way from humans). On this night, we will camp along the river Pacamayo at the bottom of the pass.

Day 3: Pacaymayu – Wiñayhuayna

After enjoyed a good breakfast, We will hike up towards Runku Rakay and traverse the second Higg pass of the same name (3,800 masl). Then, we will descend to Sayaqmarca, which is an important archaeological site, there, we will have lunch. This day we’ll walk down in hundreds of step, we will spend the third and final night near the ruins of Wiñayhuayna, which means City above the Clouds.

Day 4: Machu Picchu

This morning we need to weak up very early so that we may watch the sunrise from Inti Punku (Sun Gate) and have our first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. then We stard  to down toward  Machupicchu and we will spend one to two hours in Machu Picchu, where the guide will explain the significance of important sites within the Lost City of the Incas, at this point will be on the finish of the famous Inca trail to Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, we will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, arriving at approximately 8:30 PM.

  • Porters to carry food, tents, and cooking gear, our porters not carry the personal belongings of the clients, if you want a personal porter, you’ve to pay US$ 125 additional per porter (each porter can carry 14 kilos), if you don’t have experience walking, we hardly recommend you to hire a porter, because will be hard for you to carry all your personal belongings during 4 days (sleeping pads and sleeping bags too).

  • All meals (not including first breakfast and last  lunch on the 4th day)

  • Train ticket return to Cusco
Recommendations:
  • Personal Sleeping Bag (If you don’t have, you can rent from the company)
  • Additional money for water during the trek, normally we’ll give you water all the mornings but if you get thirsty during the day, you will be able to buy water during the trail
  • Additional money to use bathrooms once you’ll get to Machupicchu
  • Additional money for tipping
  • Backpack and Daypack
  • Hiking shoes or boots
  • Raincoat or poncho
  • Water bottle, flashlight, hat, sun block, sunglasses
  • Warm clothes, light clothes, 4 pairs of socks

Note: The Inca Trail availabilities are regulated by law(only 500 places are allowed per day, sometimes is hard to find places, any ways, we offer alternative treks that also take you to Machupicchu.
