ITINERARY
FIRST DAY:
AIRPORT COLLECTION, TRANSFER TO HOTEL
FIRST DAY AFTERNOON: CITY TOUR: 1:30 PM – 7:00 PM
This tourist circuit is midday. We will pick you up from the hotel or from the Travel office in a transport at 13:15, The first tourist groups to visit will be inside the city of Cusco, having a professional guide will begin the presentation of the temple of
Qoricancha: Located a few meters from the Plaza de Armas, considered the most sacred place by the Incas and all the vast territory of Tawantinsuyo, in which they paid homage to the community of gods and considered children of gods. Nowadays it looks in Santo Domingo Catholic temple on the eternal walls worked in the Inca period.
Sacsayhuaman: Located 2 km north of the city of Cusco, it was a religious center of great importance. Pucapucara: Quechua word that translated into Spanish means “red fort”, is located 6 km from the city of Cusco, fulfilled the function of military control, was also a place of rest for all travelers who passed through the place. This building is composed of walls, stairways, terraces and canals, its construction is rustic.
Tambomachay: It is located about 8 km north of Cusco, Quechua word that translated into Spanish means “resting cave”, because of the architecture and the water sources that it shines, without a doubt it must have been a place destined to the cult of water, since water was considered as a deity symbolizing purity and fertility.
After our tour, we return to the city at approximately 7:30 p.m.
SECOND DAY: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS FROM 8:30 AM TO 7:00 PM.
This trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of the most impressive in your visit to Cusco, we will visit the most traditional archaeological sites such as the typical market of Pisaq and its archaeological center, Ollantaytambo and the ruins of Chinchero. It is the second most visited place in Cusco after the trip that is made inside the City.
Pisaq: Where you can find a wide variety of crafts such as ceramics, Pisaq Textile and Painting. After the walk, we will go up to the Archaeological Center of Pisaq, which we will visit for approximately 1 hour accompanied by a professional guide, who will explain our importance and meaning of an Inca Culture that is so complex and enigmatic, during the period of development through a spectacular spectacular scenery that will leave you breathless. Continuing our excursión, for the Sacred Valley of the Incas we will arrive at the town of Urubamba place to have time of lunch to taste a delicious typical plate of the región. Then we will be arriving to the town of, Ollantaytambo: Where we will be visiting one of the most beautiful archaeological centers inside the sacred valley of the Incas, this place is a magnificent scenario surrounded by sacred mountains such as the Lord of Tunupa Wiracocha. And on the banks of the town of Ollantaytambo is the sacred river of the Incas known as Wilcamayu. This place will be visited around 45 minutes. At the end of the tour you will go to take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, at Aguas Calientes station we will be waiting for you to transfer to your hotel, at night you will receive detailed information about the tour the next day.
